The album is produced by Earl Willis and co-produced by Tim Leatherwood the clubowner. Anderson Fair is a small but famous club, home of the singer-songwriter for years. The album is a compilation of Watchmansongs, three bluesstandards and a new song: "Peaceful Day".
Earl wrote in his liner notes:
"But I found that onstage they give off an exciting energy and presence that soon captured the small, cynical crowd (we Texans tend to get pretty provincial about our music), and the room became filled with those wonderful convergent vibrations that are to me the highest of the musical experience."
